Thanks for voting

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you who voted for me in the General Election. Your kind words and well wishes are appreciated.

Well the results are in. And you guessed it. I lost. However, I have no sour grapes to pick. I was bested by a technicality of the way the voting machines tally votes.
Below are the results. At first glance you'd say "Wow, that's a pretty popular person to get 20.50% of the vote". Well it seems if you don't have the spine to run on one ticket, you can run on both, and our wonderful voting machines add them together. Convenient. Maybe next time I'll run on multiple tickets and we'll see what happens. Oh wait, I'd have to compromise my principles to do that, Never mind then.

So it's a victory for the Democratic party (Must have been the victory Nancy Pelosi was referring to), YEA!
This means more great projects, parks the size of a vacant lot, and oh well, yeah more taxes, and police, and anything the Fire Department asks for.
Maybe we can all get in on that great Elm Street Project, you know the one where the State gives you a low interest loan that you won't be able to pay off on the house that is going into foreclosure.
Maybe we can open more apartment buildings in the boro? Then we would have reason to have all the police officers plus the couple more they want. They might have to be on foot patrol, because we can't afford the cruiser cars we leased. That's right take a look at the Governors budget, it ain't in there. The boro's only a 1/2 square mile, why do we need 8 cylinder Hemis?
